There are also with picnic benches to sit and relax.

The Thruxton War Memorial Hall is an amazing facility with room to seat 100 people along with a fully equipped kitchen, stage area and toilets. There is also a smaller room which is used to hold meetings. Once the COVID-19 crisis is over the Hall will be back in full swing and is a great place to socialise.

Thruxton is lucky to have its very own library (although it is currently under repair). The library is housed in an old Red Phone Box and residents leave books to share with others. A really unique village feature which is always a talking point.

Thruxton Church is a unique old building set in wonderful grounds. A real hub for the local community and as mentioned in the News section is slowly opening up its doors again as the COVID-19 restrictions are eased a little.

The Thruxton Village green is the envy of the Parish. A wonderful open space with beautiful trees, a stream running along the bottom, benches to sit and relax on and also ‘Mandy Garden’ which is a tranquil space to sit and relax.

There is a mobile Post Office Van at Rosebourne Garden Centre 3 days a week. There is also a Post Box in the village at the bottom of Lambourne Close

The White Horse Inn is a wonderful old Thatched Village pub with a great community atmosphere. They are slowly starting to reopen as the COVID-19 restrictions so why not pop down for a pint in the wonderful beer garden. http://www.whitehorsethruxton.co.uk/

We all like a drink in Thruxton but please dispose of your empties at the bottle bank. These are available in the White Horse Car Park or Rosebourne Car Park.

We are lucky to have our own dedicated, secure dog walking field opposite the School by the race circuit. As a resident you can obtain a key from the field from the Parish Clerk Heather Bourner heather.bourner@googlemail.com

Rosebourne is a magnificent Garden Centre with a vast array of facilities from a butchers and cheese counter to gifts, gardening equipment, a restaurant and much much more. Just a short stroll from the village and well worth a visit. For more information visit https://rosebourne.co.uk/

Thruxton has 13 Allotment plots situated between Brookside Cottages and the slip road for the A303 Eastbound. For more information please contact Geoff Bourner who is the Chairman of the Thruxton Allotments Association.

There are many Oil Suppliers to the Village so shop around. My personal favourite is https://www.hbsfuels.com/ If you run out of Oil and need some urgently you can purchase from the Petrol Station on the road to Ludgershall
